Lucille Inez Richard

Lucille DeCuir Richard entered into eternal life at her home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the age of 101. Daughter of the late Heletaire and Lutetia DeCuir. She was the widow of her beloved husband, Sidney Richard. She was an extremely devout and prayerful woman of Catholic faith with an abundance of love and compassion for everyone. A mother so well loved by her family and namely her children, John Merrill (Gladys), Theresa Wingerter (Willie), Harold (Cathy), Linda Bives (Bob), Glenn (Madeleine) and the late Marvin (Faye). Sister of deceased siblings Norman, Corinne, Theodore and Mary. She leaves to remember her 12 grandchildren (one of which is deceased), 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She will forever be remembered for her devout faith and contagious smile by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to express very special-thanks to Dr. Richard Deichmann and Nurse Donna Barnewold for their many years of professional care and compassion as well as Lakeside Hospice staff but especially Melvin, Teri and Maria when her care was most needed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at ST. CHRISTOPHER THE MARTYR, 309 Manson Avenue, Metairie, LA on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Christopher or your favorite charity.
