She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 26 years, Jack Lygate, Sr., her parents, Frank and Naoma Lane, her brothers, Clifford Lane and Sidney (Sonny) Lambert Lane, and her sisters, Willa Fern Mammen, Louise Martin and JoAnn Cooperman. She is survived by her son, Jack Lygate (Terri), her nephews, Andrew Cooperman (Jeannette), Brian Martin and Selden Martin (Ellen), and her niece, Cynthia Martin Wheeler. She was a longtime resident of Metairie, LA. She enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and cooking, and she had a love of animals, especially cats.
A private graveside service will be held at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum and Cemetery, 5454 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, LA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
