Margaret K. Ernst

Margaret Mary Kropog Ernst passed away peacefully on June 8, 2017. Beloved wife of William A. Ernst for 64 years. Mother of Randolph L. Ernst of New Orleans, Louisiana and Dr. Amy A. Ernst (Weiss), husband, Dr. Steven J. Weiss of New York; grandmother of Natalie Weiss; sister of Helen K. Lofaso, Katherine K. Fontana, Mary K. Pertuit, Louise K. Hanner and Irene K. West; also, Julius Kropog and William Kropog. Daughter of the late Charles Kropog and Helen Dick Kropog and sister of the late James, Albert, Robert and Ernest Kropog. Mrs. Ernst was born in Springfield, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for many years. She was a retired secretary, homemaker and a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice in her memory will be greatly appreciated by her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, Louisiana on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until service time. A private interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
