Marian V. Hageni Schwartz went to Heaven on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at the age of 96. A resident of Metairie, she was the beloved wife of the late Irwin A. Schwartz for 67 years, and is survived by daughters Beatrix Krieger (Louis), Cynthia Cohen (Alan), Elizabeth Marian Schwartz, Deborah Stevens (Harry Batt), and grandchildren Eric Krieger (Susan), Caroline Krieger-Petkevicius (Jeff). She was the daughter of the late Anna and George Hageni, Sr., and sister of the late George Hageni, Jr., Joseph Hageni, Theodore Hageni, and Marjorie H. Scott. Marian had a great faith in the Lord. She was caring and giving, always welcoming friends and strangers into her home. She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her grace, and loving kindness. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 2:00pm.
