I was shocked to hear of her passing. I had just talked with her. Mrs. Mary was a wonderful woman. I enjoyed our conversations and the times we spent together. She was full of life and always so kind. I will miss her popping in my office to check on us. Fly high Mrs. Mary Fly High! You will be  missed!

When Phyllis and I with Delarie  started our business we rented our office space from Mary. She not only was our landlord she became a friend. We shared our family events with one another, talked business, enjoyed lunches and laughed. Truly a remarkable women. I’m so sad she is gone.

Mary was our beloved across the side street neighbor for the years since she finished the remodel of her beautiful home. She and Gina shared a keen interest in beautiful flowers and plants. Mary would invite Gina  over for coffee which they would enjoy while admiring Mary’s  beautiful red geraniums and talking about family, gardening, and politics. 
After Gina became homebound Mary frequently favored us with delicious home cooked dishes and yummy baked goods from New Orleans. 
We will always miss Mary’s love, friendship,  and gracious hospitality.

I only met Mary a few times, mostly in passing as Rob and I came or went.

In those short exposures, I perceived her as not just my friend's mother, but as an intelligent and dignified lady.

I am saddened by her passing, reminded of my own mortality, and how quickly the calling will come for all family and friends alike.

I hope for a peaceful transference to Mary, and strength and unity to her family and friends in her wake.



Please accept the prayers and sympathy of our whole family.  It was my privilege to have known Mary as a neighbor and friend when she lived in Metairie and we were active at St. Clement of Rome Church.  Mary led one of the first bible studies I had ever attended.  So much insight.  Mary also helped to establish the Ladies Guild at St. Clement with all its good works.  Later, Ronny and I participated in the Dream Group that Mary started with some wonderful folk.  We enjoyed our monthly meetings for about 8-9 years.  Again such insights we shared.  Under all circumstances, Mary was a woman of grace who loved her family intensely.  We believe that she is still available to be their help and guide.
