Mary Lillian Gorrondona, a retired teacher from Adams Middle School in Metairie, and, as a Dominican Nun, former Principal at St Anthony Elementary School in New Orleans, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the age of 79 years. Beloved daughter of the late Juanita Valentine Gorrondona and Eugene John Gorrondona, Sister of Juliette Gorrondona Pritchard, Charles Joseph Gorrondona, and the late Eugene Patrick Gorrondona. Mary, or Molly as she was known to many, will be remembered as a very kind person who put everyone’s needs above her own. It was her wish that those who want to celebrate her life, gather together with their mutual friends and loved ones in their own special way, and those who want to pay forward her giving nature do so in accordance with their beliefs.
