Miguel Angel Lopez

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso Lopez and Maria de los Angeles Lopez; son, Hector Javier Lopez (Beth); sister, Juana; and brothers, Joaquin and Rene.

Miguel is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma Lopez; daughter, Fanny Heller (Nathanael); sons Miguel A. Lopez (Jan) and Jeffrey A. Lopez (Denise); sister, Norma; brother, Ismael; grandchildren, Elizabeth Henderson (Matt), Emily Lopez, Michael Lopez, Andrew Heller, Kate Heller, Ella Lopez; Abby Lopez; and great-granddaughter, Madeline Henderson.

Miguel was a small business owner and worked as a First Class Stationary Engineer. He enjoyed fishing and traveling, especially his pilgrimages to the Holy Land.

The family would like to express gratitude to the nurses and doctors of the Neuro Critical Care and the Palliative Care Units of Ochsner Medical Center for their loving and attentive care of our husband and father.

The services will be on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. The visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the memorial mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
