

Nancy Ketchum Dupuy born November 29, 1954 died April 20, 2025, age 70. Born, raised and lived in the New Orleans area. Graduated from Ursuline Academy a Sioux of 72’ and from University of New Orleans with a Bachelor in Elementary Education in 1976.
She was beloved teacher of over 40 years most notably at St. Louis King of France in Bucktown as a 5th grade teacher and camp director and retiring from St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton in Kenner where she was known as “Computer Lady”.
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father Betty and Thomas Ketchum and her sisters Judith (Judy), husband Lloyd and Kathryn (Kathy), Mother and Father-in-Law, Joyce and Bayard Dupuy.
She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Michael Bayard Dupuy and her three children Jason, Shelly and Chrissy. As well as her sister Peggy Hayes, husband Ray, and niece Abbie and Nephew Tommy.
Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, teacher and friend. Lovingly known as “mamarazzi,” she loved photography and giving the gift of photos from weddings and events. She taught hundreds of kids in the New Orleans area and to many, was their favorite teacher. One of her greatest talents and joys was crocheting blankets, ornaments, magnets and so much more. She created treasured items that touched the lives of so many. She enjoyed spending time with her loving husband and friends, traveling the world, reading, doing puzzles and cooking for others and being the best mom to her three children who she loved and who loved her endlessly. She also loved her children’s friends and always opened her home to everyone. To know her is to love her. She was kind, accepting, encouraging and loving.
The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful team at Compassus, who provided incredible support through hospice services.
Visitation is on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, beginning at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service honoring her beautiful life at 11:30 am . Interment will be private.
