Nicholas Aloysius Tusa Sr. died on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 12:30pm at the age of 89. Husband of the late Carol Dolan Tusa, wife of 46 years and survived by Marie B. “Jackie” Tusa, wife of 20 years. Father of Deborah T. Pennison and Mark D Pennison, Sr., Nicholas A. Tusa Jr. and Sally Tusa and Thomas A. Tusa. Son of the late Michael J. Tusa and Ninfa R. Tusa. Grandfather of Kellee’ P. Nastasi, Mark D. Pennison, Jr. Kacey P. Bushnell, Nicolas A. Tusa, III Nicole T. Templet and Matthew J. Tusa. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
He was a proud veteran of the Korean War and received the Purple Heart. He was a machinist by trade and a member of the VFW and the Knights of Columbus.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 61030 Brier Lake Dr, Lacombe, LA 70445 from 9:00 to 11:00 am and followed by Mass at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans LA 70124 at 2:00 pm.
Masses are requested in lieu of flowers.
