

Oswald (Ozzie) Bernard Mullett, age 102, a native of Donaldsonville and longtime resident of New Orleans until his relocation to Slidell in 2005. He was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Anna Mae Ellerbusch Mullett, parents James and Frances Falcon Mullett and sisters Mabel and Sadie. Mr. Mullett is survived by one sister Vivian, Son Jerry (Carolyn), Daughter Dianne Wheat (Floyd), Grandsons, Gary (Beverlee), Craig (Robin), great grandchildren, Patrick ( Robin Johnstone), Brittany Ajroud (Monsour), Casie Callais( Brandon), Katie Clements (Daniel), Stephen (Rachel), Andrew (Stephanie), Great Great Granddaughters, Camille Callais, and Emma Perry, also numerous nieces and nephews, and their families. Prior to his retirement from Boeing he was employed by Higgins Inc. from 1943 until the shipyard ceasedoperations. Ozzie was a devoted husband, loving father, family man, and friend to all that knew him. Ozzie was an officer in the Amor Carnival, Club Dragons Social Club, and a member of several other social organizations. An avid fisherman, he and his friends enjoyed their trips to the "Camp". Gardening was also a passion, hence his title" Resident Gardner" at Azalea Estates and Live Oak village. He planted his garden so the "Old People" could have something growing. A member of St. Henry Mens Club, he coached C.Y. O. Softball and Basketball for many years. The family would like to give special thanks to Canon Hospice, Greenbriar Community Center, Live Oak village, and Azalea Estates for their compassion, helpfulness, and professionalism that was shown to Ozzie in his time of need.
