Oswald Leroy Peralta

Leroy was born on September 1, 1969 in New Orleans, LA to Mario Antonio Peralta and Amparo Vindel Peralta.

As a faithful man of God, Leroy loved to serve the community in his hometown of New Orleans. He had many passions, but foremost was protecting and serving honorably for the New Orleans Police Department and the Orleans Constables Office. He was a chef for his beloved New Orleans Saints, and a dedicated member of the Celebration Church community, serving on their security team.

Leroy’s kind spirit filled every room he entered and his adoration for people is what made him so special.

He was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend. Leroy’s love will be spread through his family. He was preceded by his first born, Matthew Loren Randazzo. He is survived by his children, Mario Charles Peralta and Kylie Sophia Peralta; his parents, Mario Antonio Peralta and Amparo Vindel Peralta; his brothers, Juan Ramon Peralta (Isabel Peralta), Miguel Lorenzo Peralta (Jennifer Castro), and Rickle Victorio Peralta (Jelyca Peralta); his former wife, Katty Colindres Varela; his nephews, Johnny Peralta, Chris Peralta, and Edwin Guzmán; his niece, Mia Renee Peralta; and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Peralta, Pizzati, and Vindel Family.

Leroy is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior. He was lovingly called home to serve in the eternal kingdom, and even in our sorrow and grief, we take joy knowing Leroy is with our creator. Leroy may no longer be with us physically, but his infectious spirit will forever be in our hearts.

Family and friends are invited to Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 on Saturday, October 26, 2024 for visitation from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm followed by a service at 2:00 pm.
