Pamela Ann "Sissy" Martin

Pamela Ann “Sissy” Martin peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015. She was 61 years old. Loving daughter and caretaker of Jacqueline “Meme” Martin, and the late Marius Martin. Beloved sister of Craig Martin, Mark Martin (wife: Laurence), and Lynn “Lynnie” Johnston (husband: Paul). Niece of Rev. Donald J. Martin, S.J. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She also leaves behind her loving puppy, Minnie. Pam was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a graduate of Mount Carmel Academy and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She spent many years in retail as a buyer and store manager in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee. During this time, she was president of the Junior League in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The last six years she worked for Ricoh, a facilities management company, stationed at the law firm of Frilot LLC in New Orleans. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Foundation, and / or American Cancer Society, of which she was a survivor.
