

Patrick G. Carrigan, Sr. passed away on January 5, 2024 at the age of 93. He was born in New Orleans , LA on July 2, 1930 and was a lifetime resident of Metairie, Louisiana. He was a parishioner of St Louis King of France parish for over 50 years. He served in the United States National Guard and US Army reserves where he found talent as a marksman. He participated in numerous National Rifle and Pistol competitions during his years of military service and beyond. In recent years he continued competing as an expert marksman and medaled in the Senior Olympics.
He spent 44 years employed with South Central Bell and BellSouth Corporation.
He is preceded in death by his spouse, whom he married in 1963, Catherine Flanagan; son, Patrick G. Carrigan, Jr; parents, Edward James Carrigan and Nellie Burke Carrigan; brothers, Edward and James; and sisters, Ellen and Lorraine.
Patrick is survived by his daughter, Maureen Carrigan Costantino (Joanne); daughter-in-law, Debbie Bennett Carrigan; grandchildren, Ryan, Meghan, and Isabella; brother, George (Carol); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation and funeral mass on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. The visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the mass at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans.
