

Perry Andrew Hatheway passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at his home in Pearl River, Louisiana at the age of 70. He was born in New Orleans on December 10, 1955. After graduating from high school, Perry began working in the automotive industry as a mechanic, for many of those years with siblings. He was an exceptional mechanic with an astonishing ability to diagnose engines. In his spare time, Perry enjoyed restoring classic cars. Recently, he retired from 14 years of service as a dispatcher on the Mississippi River.
Perry was a devoted brother and family member with a big heart and a bigger smile. Although he never married, his life was rich with meaningful connections and lasting friendships. Perry was loved by family and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, especially by his nieces and nephews whom Perry dearly loved.
Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Elnathan Pierce Hatheway III and Dorothy Pique Hatheway; and his brother, Theodore Marquis Hatheway, Sr. He is survived by his siblings, Pamela H. Person, Elnathan Pierce Hatheway IV, John Pique Hatheway, Todd Caryer Hatheway, Sr., Jane H. Bonneau, Dorothy H. Lohr, Mark Gilbert Hatheway, and many nieces and nephews.
Family is invited to attend the grave site at Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery on Friday, February 20, at 2pm.
