Rita Jane “Janie” Bohn McDougal passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at the age of 72. She was born in New Orleans, LA to the late Rita Jane and Charles Robert Bohn, Sr. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Billy Joe McDougal. Rita is survived by her step daughters, Dawn Reilly (Tom), Twilla Saranson (Kurt), Sunny Sheppard (George); step son, Billy McDougal (Annette); sister, Kathleen Tally; brother, C. Robert “Bobby” Bohn; and special niece, Julie Kathleen Coultes. Rita was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport, MS. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Bobby Tullis and Gentiva Hospice for their special care. A graveside service was held in Metairie Cemetery.
