Ronald "Ronnie" L. Wise

Our hearts are heavy as we share that Ronald L. Wise (Ronnie) passed away on October 18, 2025 at the age of 80 years old. To all who knew him, Ronnie had a joyful spirit- he was gentle, giving, full of life and his smile could light up any room! His spirit and love will remain with us always.

Born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, Ronnie attended St. Aloysius High School. His early years were filled with turtle hunting adventures and time spent working with his grandfather, who inspired his lifelong passion for cars. Ronnie later turned that passion into a rewarding career in the automotive industry.

Ronnie had a deep love for hunting and was a proud member of the Buck and Duck Hunting Club, where he formed lifelong friendships and created countless memories — along with a few impressive Big Buck trophies for the wall.

Ronnie was the heart of his family. He adored his wife of 60 years, Nancy, and treasured every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether cooking Sunday dinner or showing up to every event, Ronnie never missed a chance to show his love and support.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his loving parents, Herbert & Melba Wise; as well as his (3) brothers, Hebert, Gary & Eric Wise.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy and their (2) children: Lisa and Keith (Michelle). He is also survived by his (4) grandchildren: Justin (Casey), Lauren (Shea), Kaylie (Court), and Karlie (Justin). He is also blessed to be survived by his (4) Great-Grandchildren who he loved dearly: Ainsley, Jackson, Lane & Jade.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 beginning at 12 pm, with a Mass to follow at 2 pm, Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana 70124.

A Celebration of Life to follow at the conclusion of the Graveside Service.
