

Rose Catalano Seeling, 90, entered the arms of her Lord and Savior on November 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 23, 1935, Rose lived a life overflowing with love, energy, and an unwavering devotion to the people she cherished.
Rose was married for 69 beautiful years to the love of her life, Stanley Seeling, Sr., who preceded her in death. Together they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and the kind of love that shaped generations.
She leaves behind four children and their spouses, Vicki Seeling Toups (Donald), Stanley Seeling Jr. (Maria), Brian Seeling (Maria), and Gregory Seeling (Nicole). She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved daughter, Deborah Seeling Worthy, whose husband, Gary Worthy, remains a cherished part of the family.
Rose, lovingly known as “MeMaw” and “MawMaw” continues her legacy through her nine grandchildren, Tonya Toups Gautreau (Cade), J'Nelle Toups West (Kevin), Gary Worthy (Heidi), Nick Worthy (Kira), Jessica Seeling Quigley (Brennan), Jennifer Seeling-Wu (Howard), Taylor Seeling, Alex Seeling, and Payton Seeling and her thirteen great-grandchildren, Austin, Gaines, Nash, Kevin, Kolton, Kinsley, Xander, Graham, Melody, Lucy, Blythe, Brighton, and Sadie.
She is also survived by her sister, Theresa Cahill, along with countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Catalano and Carmella Reggio Catalano, as well as many siblings and extended family members.
Rose was known for her passionate spirit, generous heart, and lively personality. She made everyone feel like family. Her home was famous for its open doors, warm meals at any hour, and long conversations. She loved hosting holiday gatherings, going on cruises, traveling, and late-night cups of coffee while watching her beloved Golden Girls.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. Rose loved God wholeheartedly, knew Jesus as her Savior, and prayed countless hours over her family and friends. She taught those around her the importance and power of prayer, planting seeds of faith that will continue to grow for generations.
The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers, The Blake at Colonial Club, Christine Frickey, and Passages Hospice for their compassion, attentiveness, and heartfelt care.
Services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be held from 9AM – 11AM with a Mass to begin at 11AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
