

Rosemary Herbert Walters passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the age of 95. She was a native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie. Rosemary graduated from Sophie B. Wright High School and had one of the most important jobs as a homemaker. She was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher at St. Paul’s UCC, American Legion Post 350 Ladies Auxiliary. Rosemary enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at crawfish boils, playing bingo and bowling. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles J. Walters, Jr.; her parents, John D. Herbert, Sr and Rosalie Danner Herbert; brothers, John D. Herbert, Jr. (Ives), Edward E. Herbert (Evelyn), Clarence L. Herbert (Yvonne), Henry A. Herbert, Sr. (Doris) and Wilber Herbert (Jacqueline); son-in-law, Nelson Baudoin; and grand son-in-law, Scott Gibson. Rosemary is survived by her daughters, Rosemary W. Baudoin, Charlene W. Rome (Sidney) and Marilyn W. Milne (Scott); son, Wayne C. Walters (Rhonda); grandchildren, Cherie B. Muskevitsch (David), Cynthia R. Ganucheau (Gerald), Scott W. Walters (Kelly), Jeanne Baudoin Barthel (Shane), Robert R. Rome (Ginger), Teri Lynn Walters (Danny), Aimee B. Millet (Jon), Tanya M. Dunham (Gelance), Derek A. Milne, Brandon S. Milne; great-grandchildren, Mark B. Muskevitsch (Megan), Matthew B. Muskevitsch (Becca), Mason B. Muskevitsch, Gage Ticker, Jonathan Braud, Jaimee Millet, Jacob Millet, Joshua Millet, Catherine Ganucheau, Andrew Ganucheau, Sophia Rome, Ella Rome, Blaine Wilson, Bailey Wilson, Karley Nuccio, Isabella Rose Gibson, Jake Nuccio, Evie Nuccio, James Newsome (Chloe), Creshaun McCollum, Aubriella McCollum, Shyla Dunham, Lillianna Milne; great-great-grandchildren, Dylan Muskevitsch and Brayden Newsome. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
