Schevonne Vercueil

Schevonne Vercueil, devoted mother to Madison Dang, sadly passed away February 2, 2025 at the age of 52. Born in South Africa on August 5, 1972, she graduated from Evergreen Beauty College and became a long-time resident of the Seattle area, enjoying a successful career as a massage therapist.

Schevonne was a generous, supportive, loving mother and the ultimate soccer mom who loved spending time with her daughter, Madison and her friends.

She had a deep love for travel, beautiful beaches and the ocean. Some of her favorite adventures include stunning beach destinations like Hawaii, the Caribbean and closer to home in Ocean Shores. Moreover. She had the opportunity to travel in the UK, South Africa, and walking El Camino de Santiago through Spain and Portugal.

She had a great community filled with devoted and loving friends. She was a passionate Seattle sports fan, always cheering on the Mariners, Sounders, and Seahawks with enthusiasm!

Her heart was full of love for animals, and she generously shared her life with dogs, cats, horses, and other pets.

She was also an active member of the Ham radio community, the African Chamber of Commerce in Seattle and also served as a Sunday school teacher at Crossroads Bible Church for many years.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Madison Dang; mother, Karen Mortimer; brothers, Mark Mortimer and Steven Vercueil; aunt, Lesley Loukakis; many more relatives in South Africa and her vast group of friends & colleagues in her local communities and beyond.

Her father, Andre Vercueil, preceded her in death.

Her Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 9 - 12 pm in the Sammamish Ballroom at Willows Lodge, 14580 NE 145th Street Woodinville, WA 98072.
