Captain Steven M. Gaudet, Jr., served his community for 20 years as a law enforcement agent for New Orleans Police Department and Pearl River Police Department. He was a loving and devoted father, husband, and friend. During his free time, he could always be found on the field, coaching his boys in football and baseball; to him, it was not just a job, but rather, a true love and passion. Through any sport his boys played, vicariously living through them, he was there at every practice and every game. Regardless of the role he played in everyday life, whether it was husband, father, coach, or friend, he never failed to be anything less than the best.
In addition to his passion and love for his wife and sons, he was a great hockey player who led his team to a National Championship, member of Team Louisiana, and an avid New Orleans Saints fan. No matter where he went, he was always the life of the party with his contagious smile and laugh, which will be missed greatly.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020, at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Slidell, LA at 11:00 A.M. Following visitation, the Mass will begin at 3:00 P.M. with a procession to follow to Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA.
