Terry Ann Richard passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie Ramagos Richard and Joseph Lee Richard, all natives of New Orleans, their lineage going back generations. Terry is survived by her brother, Lee Joseph Richard, sister-in-law, Irene Baker Richard, her godchild, Annette Brewer, and a host of "special" nieces and nephews, Thomas "Toby" Dempsey (Pamela), Logan F. Dempsey, Quinn T. Dempsey, Ashley P. Dempsey, Dylan T. Dempsey, and Meghan D. Crosby (Lee Crosby, Jr.).
Terry was a devout Catholic who attended Catholic schools from kindergarten through high school at St. Anthony of Padua Elementary School and Cabrini High School. She then attended LSU for several years. Due to her happy, friendly personality, Terry made lifelong friends during those school years going all the way back to kindergarten.
Following her years at LSU, Terry went to work for Haase Construction in New Orleans. When the oil and gas industry began revving up, she started a career at Shell Oil Company as an Information Management Tech where she spent the rest of her working years until retirement. Needless to say, she made even more friends. Terry valued all her many friendships and found such joy in their conversation and laughter.
As a lifelong parishioner of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, she was recognized for her many services. She was especially devoted to the Blessed Mother Mary and Father Seelos. They brought her peace and comfort throughout her life.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the devoted doctors and nurses at East Jefferson Hospital LCMC.
