I’ve tried to compose my thoughts to share who Veronica was to me over and over and it’s almost impossible . Vee was the sister I never had , over 25 years of friendship while many of the later years she became my best friend. She was my shoulder to cry on , the one that gave me tuff love , the one who believed in me , the one that made me smile and laugh when I didn’t want to.  She was one of the strongest women I’ve know and worked diligently to have a fulfilling life with her love Brian whom she loved unconditionally and then her second love Reddington .Vee always made the time to listen to me , to check in , remind me how lucky I am to have a husband that I do and to cherish him.Vee would always say , “ her accomplishments are wins not only for herself but for all of us .My Sis was a beautiful person inside out, her light hearted and silly personality would light up the darkest days. Her selfless efforts to surprise you with the most thoughtful gifts was part of who Vee was .These recent days I realized that Vee did this not only for me but for so many others. She was as good as they come .. and I am so lucky to have had your love and friendship for the years we shared . I will miss you so much Sister , my heart is shattered, I will miss your silliness, your contagious laugh , your food pics trying to compete with Emi , your daily texts , our girl time calls , your beautiful smile. I will hold on to every memory of you to the end of time . Thank you Vee for all the love you have sprinkled in our lives.

It was just six years ago when I met Veronica, just after she moved to New Orleans to start her new life with Brian. What a gift I received through that first trip. We became fast friends and I’ll be forever grateful to know and love her.

Veronica radiated warmth and kindness. Her unwavering love and genuine care for others were like a cozy blanket that touched those fortunate enough to know her. Whether through a simple text message or a heartfelt conversation, Veronica always checked in to say hello, share a fun photo, or just wish me “happy Friday”. On New Year’s, Veronica started an annual tradition of organizing a “New Year’s catch up” with a group of us so we could all stay connected.

Veronica’s nurturing spirit extended beyond human connections. As a devoted dog mom to Reddington (Redd), she showered him with love, patience, and belly rubs. She found complete joy in being a dog mom. In one of her IG posts she said, “Pups have a way of giving you the best kind of love no matter what kind of day or week you’re having”. And she gave Redd big love in a way only she could.

And as a wife, Veronica found her one and only, Brian. Her love story was woven with laughter, shared dreams, and quiet moments of understanding. She was always Brian’s biggest cheerleader and she found that kind of true love and commitment that made each of their lives brighter and better.

Veronica’s departure leaves an emptiness—a void that can never be filled. But her legacy lives on in the memories she created, the love she shared, and the kindness she spread. May we honor her by continuing to check in on our friends, cherish our fur babies, and love fiercely.

Rest in peace, dear Veronica. You will be missed, but your light will forever shine in our hearts. May we meet again. xxoo

Taken almost 15 years ago. I remember this day like it was yesterday...she surprised me at work. I screamed when I saw her. Everyone throughout the building heard. I remember the hugs, the laugh, the plans that came immediately after. There was no sleep that evening because our fun was too much. Veronica, there's a sceam within me that I cannot let out but the pain and tears are shown daily. I will miss our quick talks, your advice... I will miss you. Rest easy, Sis.

Dear Brian,
We are all so saddened by the loss of your dear wife, Veronica. We know how much you both loved each other.  The happiness you had together was inspiring.  I will never forget how kind and loving she was towards me. I enjoyed our texting back and forth over the last several years getting to know one another.  I am grateful to have known her, although it was for far too short of time. Even in that short time, she made a positive difference in my life with her love and kindness. VA, I’m gonna miss you my girl! You always treated me and your entire team with such kindness and grace.  Thank for all the encouraging words and  motivation. Although we never met, Veronica had so many kind things to say about you. I remember on one occasion she told me that you were everything she asked and hoped for. Please take comfort in knowing that you were the love of her life and she thought the world of you. I was always impressed by your craftsmanship on the outside decks and other home remodel projects; your work truly reflects your dedication and skill! Veronica often spoke about  the beautiful moments you both cherished together. She will be truly missed here at the Convention Center, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Her spirit and the love she had for you will always be remembered by those of us who had the privilege to know her.
