Wanda Jean Moss Rutledge

Wanda Jean Moss Rutledge passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019, at the age of 78. Wife of Zeno Lee Rutledge for 55 years this May 29, 2019. Beloved Mother of Timothy Renaund Rutledge and wife Leah Renee Rutledge. Grandmother of Michael Luis Rutledge (Jordan), Matthew Paul Rutledge (Kelsie), Brenah Leigh Rutledge-Akula (Prakash). Great Grandmother of Claude Mason Rutledge, Clyde Remi Rutledge, Aubrie Elizabeth Rutledge and Mila Valentina Rutledge Heaverly. Also survived by her twin sister, Londa Dean Moss Cupit (the late Rev. John R. Cupit) and brother Albert Philip Moss Jr. (Sandra), and many nephews and a niece. We are thankful for Shanedrya Morris and Angele Knight for being the best sitters we could ever ask for. They were a Godsend. Sister Wanda was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of New Orleans for over 73 years. She was also the Church Sunday School secretary/treasurer for many years. Sister Wanda loved to bake her secret recipe goodies for all her friends and family. She loved her church, her family and her wonderful Lord and Savior. Now Heaven is her reward! Welcome Home!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Slade Cemetery in Purvis, Mississippi.
