

William "Bill" Clayton Graves, a devoted husband, beloved father, proud grandfather, esteemed veteran, and cherished friend, passed away on March 9, 2024, in Harahan, Louisiana. He was born on July 24, 1938, in Denver, Colorado.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Carole Faust Graves, his loving daughter, Patricia Graves O’Leary (Darren), his adored grandchildren, Ryan O’Leary, Emily O’Leary, and Daniel O’Leary, and a wide circle of relatives and friends who will deeply mourn his loss. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clayton Graves and Naomi Grimes Graves, and his sister Dorothy Graves Boyd.
Throughout his life, Bill epitomized kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Serving with honor and courage in the Air Force reserves, he upheld the values of duty and sacrifice. Bill embarked on a successful career in the oil industry, contributing significantly to the energy sector while working on oil rigs for Chevron.
His gentle demeanor and infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew him. Bill will be fondly remembered for his devotion to loved ones and his willingness to assist those in need. He held a lifelong passion for gardening and photography.
In honor of Bill's memory, his family has chosen private services to commemorate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations to the American Heart Association. Though he may have departed, Bill's legacy of love, bravery, and compassion will forever endure in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace, forever remembered and cherished.
