He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Fenella L. Farrington. He is survived by numerous cousins and his long term caregiver, Natalie Williams Smith.
William served in the Navy and was a graduate of Tulane University. He was a skilled Genealogist and loved doing the research required to trace family roots. He also loved working in his garden, his dog, and reading science fiction and history.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be held from 12 PM – 2 PM with a service to begin at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the ASPCA.
