

William Ernest McClain, Jr., born in New Orleans on June 26, 1928, passed away on January 15, 2015. A resident of Waveland, MS, he was a native and long time resident of New Orleans, LA. Mr. McClain was a WWII veteran of the US Marine Corps, LSU graduate and member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He retired from the Celotex Corp., started a new career and retired Martin Marietta Michoud Facility (Lockheed Martin). Long time member of the National Rifle Assoc. and a Range Officer at the Honey Island Shooting Range. He was preceded in death by William E. McClain, Sr., (father), Ethel Cassagne McClain Dermody (mother), James Dermody (step-father), Robert L. McClain (brother), William E. McClain III (son) and Amy Druen McClain (daughter-in-law). He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elaine Brennan McClain; daughters, Susan McClain, M. Eileen McClain Collignon (Paul), Mary Elaine McClain, and Sandra McClain Cutrera (James); grandchildren, William E. McClain, IV (Catherine), Margaret McClain and Craig Collignon; and great-grandchildren Colby, Mason, Allison and Daman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, Saturday January 24, 2015 at 12:00 Noon with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Special Olympics.
