

Willis J. Boye passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the age of 93. He was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Kenner. Willis proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran. After serving his country, he had a long career as a Production Manager in the Dairy industry. He is a life member of Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW), a life member of Lions International (Lions Club), and a life member of the Knights of Columbus.
Willis enjoyed bowling, softball and even coached CYO softball and football at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church in Metairie. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family and friends. Willis will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Annie O’Rourke Boye and Frederick Boye Sr.; his son, Greg, W. Boye; sisters, Ella Ashley, Frances Tullos and Cecile Pearson; and brothers, Frederick Boye Jr. and Louis Boye.
Willis is survived by his devoted wife of 71 years, Marilyn Boesch Boye; his loving children, Gary J. Boye (Susan), Michael P. Boye and Rory A. Boye; adoring grandchildren, Sean M. Boye (Melissa), Christopher M. Boye (Darcy), Theresa B. Hamrick (Jason), Stephen P. Boye, Michael A. Boye (Lacey) and Christina B. Cross (Jeff); great- grandchildren, Jack Cross, Lily Cross, Kaden Boye, Kai Boye, Allison Boye, Preston Boye, Nathan Hamrick, Elliot Boye, Victoria Parfait, Elliot Parfait, Eric Hamrick, Ryan Hamrick and Cody Hamrick.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Chateau De Notre Dame Nursing Home and Notre Dame Hospice in New Orleans for the special care they gave to Willis.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, La on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 12pm. A visitation will be held from 10am until mass at 12pm. Inurnment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
