I just moved back to washington and as soon as we got into the state i started thinking of you 🫶 I wish i got to say goodbye but i am forever thankful i got to meet you. You were a great friend even before knowing my past. I’m so lucky you pushed me out of my comfort zone in our class together and got me to open up to you. You’re a beautiful soul Andrew  

Andrew was such a great nurse, first time met I him he really was outgoing asking me how my day was and if there was anyway he could help, which was funny because in all the time I worked in Psych I’ve never had a dayshift person ask me if there was anyway they could help right at the beginning of their shift lol. But that first interaction just really showed how much if a kind and good person he was! When I was staffing coordinator later on he would stop by my office everyday that he worked, ask me how I was doing and always tell me if the hospital needed a nurse I could call him, which again showed how much of a great person he was! Andrew you will be missed for sure by me and other coworkers and by all the patients you helped! Rest in Peace Brother.

Although I did not know Andrew, I am an RN that works in psychiatry and is Administrator of the Employment Psychiatric Travel Nurse group on Facebook. On behalf of this group and Psychiatric Nurses we offer our sincere heartfelt condolences on the loss of one of our own. 
May Andrew rest in peace and know that he made a difference in the lives of his patients.

Andy ill miss you and our inseparable trio. When we all met we had no clue what we were getting ourselves into.... From not knowing where the liver is all the way to becoming RNs working with critically ill patients. You were taken way to soon but God needed an angel. You will be forever young. And you will never be forgotten. Rest in heaven Andy ❤️  

Andrew, I am forever thankful for getting to know you and for going to nursing school with you! I remember how inseparable our little trio was for clinical and all day study sessions. I remember the day you forgot your scrub top and had to wear mine and the instructor was so confused on why your shirt was so tight. I am so proud to have gotten to know you and all of the things you have accomplished. You will be missed ♥️

Andrew made coming into work feel less like a job and more like a hobby.
The night before he passed, he sent me a paragraph about how much he enjoys working with me and how my boyfriend and I should hang out with him and his fiance sometime. 
It was hard to believe that it was the last time that I would hear from him; and it still is. 
Despite working for a few months, I struggled to make connections with my coworkers, but Andrew was so easy to befriend, but not just to me. 
He made instant connections and befriended everybody who worked with him. It was something I genuinely looked up to him for. I'm so grateful that I had an opportunity to not only be his coworker, but his friend. 






I don't even know where to start. Andrew is and forever will be the kindest person I've ever met. When we first met, I was amazed with how patient and caring he was. I had the greatest pleasure of having Andrew as not only a coworker but a friend. No matter how busy he was he talked to me everyday, about everything, he was always there for everyone. when I was in the emergency room he sat, talking to me, advocating for me. He was a good person through and through no matter what he said or thought about himself. Being around Andrew was always so refreshing and you couldn't help but to feel comfortable. 
I asked him why he worked so much one day. His response was "someone needs to be there for these kids" he said it like the answer was so obvious, and thats just the person he was. It will never feel real to me that you're gone. The world doesn't feel the same. I'm so grateful I had the pleasure to know you and to call you a friend. 


I remember Andrew as such a caring and compassionate person, not only as a nurse to all of his patients, but to his friends and colleagues. I’m shocked to realize that I only recently met Andrew. It seems like it’s been longer. Every day Andrew had a smile and a friendly greeting. He usually got to work early, so now it’s odd to walk onto one of the adolescent units and not see him. I will miss Andrew. My thoughts and prayers are with Andrew’s family and friends. 

I remember one of my managers coming to Alyssa and I saying “you need to teach the new travel nurse CPI.” We met Andrew and proceeded to restrain him. We both knew from that day on he would be an amazing addition to our Smokey point family. Andrew was the kindest nurse I have ever met. He cared so much about his patients and loved helping other staff members in anyway possible. Andrew always put others before himself. He was the most caring compassionate person. I still can hear his voice coming to just chill with me on weekends, asking if he was needed any more shifts than what he was already scheduled. Andrew is forever in my heart. 

Andrew was an amazing nurse and an amazing friend. He truly focused on everyone around him even if he was having a bad day. He always came to the office while we were short staff just to make sure I was doing okay. He always offered to help in any way possible, whether it be just helping file notes or being a shoulder to cry on. Andrew was the kind of nurse that was a one of a kind, genuine, caring and thoughtful and always advocated for everyoneAndrew cared so much about those kids, and he made a huge impact on not only the kids but the people around him. I miss hearing your good mornings and seeing you on the kids unit every day. I hope you know how many lives you’ve touched. You are so very missed Andrew!

I worked with Andrew and he will surely missed.  He was an inspiration for other coworkers.  Andrew was caring toward other coworkers.  Making us smile and laugh, in an environment that is not always caring. Being a nurse with behavioral patients can be difficult at times but he always was there to lend an ear or assist the patients in anything they needed.  I remember one day sitting next to him at the nursing station when he grabbed a sweatshirt from a Walmart bag full of new sweat shirts for patients.  Andrew said this is my donation bag for the patients.  Andrew was so generous. The last time I worked Andrew we were discussing the hurricane as we have family in Florida.  Andrew heard my kids played hockey and I gave him info on adult playing.  We all miss Andrew's presence at work but he will hold a special place in our hearts.  Rest in peace dear Andrew. Prayers for your family. 


The first few weeks I worked with Andrew I nagged him. I was asking him why he was so nice. Couldn't figure it out. Then as time passed, I realised that he was the real deal. He would leave his unit and come around to everyone to ask if they were ok, to check if I was overwelmed and needed help. He was always available yo get up and help out. He gave freely to others without looking for anything in return. He took time out with the kids he worked with and was always, always, always listening to them. One day I asked him if he wasn't afraid of riding his bike on the highway with so many accidents and he said "If it's my time, it's my time, nothing I can do about it". I was talking with a Bab a few weeks ago and Bab kept telling me how awesome he was. I went over to Andrew and let him know how much he is appreciated. I keep seeing his face and hearing his voices. Ah Andrew, you will sorely be missed. A true example of how to live. 

I didn’t know Andrew very well but did know he was a kind and caring individual. He immediately took concern about my limp and wanted to know more about it to offer assistance. He is presence will be missed

Everyday with you was like being home no matter where our journey took us. Thank you for being my greatest adventure, my best friend, and my better half. I love you
