

Anthony (Tony) Pagano, age 90, died Feb. 16, 2025 following a sudden stroke. A Florida resident since 1978, Tony was born Nov. 1, 1934 in Dunkirk, NY. He earned a degree in optics from ECTI (Buffalo, NY) and a Bachelor's degree from Elmhurst College (Illinois). Tony held Optician licenses in Illinois and Florida, working for American Optical, House of Vision, Bausch and Lomb Sales where he helped introduce the Soflens across the Midwest. In retirement years he worked part time for Walmart optical centers.
A devoted family man, Tony leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret (Harney) Pagano; sons James Michael Pagano (Margaret Smith), Jeffery Allen Pagano, Michael Thomas Pagano (Heather McCown); grandchildren: Jonathan James Pagano (Jamie Gray), Kenneth Anthony Pagano, Christopher Michael Pagano, Hadleigh Rose Pagano, Liam Tate Pagano; great grandchildren:Hazel Melida Pagano, and Elliot James Pagano, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death: parents: Myron and Josephine (Alonge) Pagano; brothers Joseph (Frances Ristilli) and Marion Pagano (Theresa Siragusa).
Throughout life Tony loved music, sharing his tenor voice and proficiency on saxophone and trumpet with many groups: Tampa Bay Bucs Band, Tampa Heralds of Harmony Barbershoppers, Clearwater Chorus, Richey Concert Band and Florida Brass Bugle Corps.
