Doris Englmeier

Doris F. Englmeier of Ft Pierce, FL passed away on March 11,2020. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Howard & Clarance Fritts. She is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Lisa Fetterly, son in law Dean Fetterly, granddaughter Cassandra Sims & her husband Chad, granddaughter Ashley Fetterly and her spouse Miranda; 3 great grandchildren Caleb, Chloe, and Shannon as well as numerous great nieces & nephews.

She was born in Filbert, WV on July 27,1923 to Charles & Lenace Fritts. She grew up in southern WV , graduated from the National Business College and worked as an Executive Secretary for US Steel. She was very active in the Methodist Church serving as a Counselor for for the Methodist Youth Fellowship. Doris married Bob Englmeier in 1957 and they lived & worked in 8 states finally settling in Ft Pierce in 1991.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma & great grandma. Doris volunteered for several organizations including Hospice, several nursing homes, Libraries and women’s clubs. She also helped to pattern a brain damaged child.

A visitation for Doris will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652, followed by a funeral service from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Entombment will take place at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens.
