She was born in Beattyville, KY on December 29th,1940 to Archie Addison and Laura Moore Addison. Edith graduated from Ripley County High School. She was preceded in death by her parents and her seven siblings.
She was married to Richard W. Lane on October 3rd, 1959. They had just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Edith was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was employed at Regal Rugs Inc. in North Vernon from 1975 until her retirement in 1989. She was passionate about line dancing, bowling, camping, shopping, traveling, spending time with friends and family, being a grandma and great grandma and sitting on her front porch, wherever she lived, to watch people drive past.
She is survived by her husband, Richard W. Lane and her three sons, Roger W. Lane (Janet) of Seymour, IN, Raymond W. Lane of Land O’Lakes, FL and Randy L. Lane (Drew) of New York City, NY. Her grandchild, William C. Lane (Crystal) and great-grandchildren, Annsley E. Lane and William Z. Lane.
