Edward F. Bernett, 81, of Hudson, Florida passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Edward Herbert and Emma Bernett on September 21, 1931. He moved from Little Britain, New York to Hudson in 1994. In his career, he was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. Edward is survived by loving wife of nineteen years, Evelyn; brother, Robert Bernett (Lisa) of New Bern, North Carolina; and nephew, Andrew Bernett of New Bern, North Carolina. Edward was an active member of Hudson's VFW Post #4412, where he served as chaplain. He is also remembered for sponsoring new cadets at the U.S. Military Academy during his years in Little Britain, New York. Edward will be missed by everyone who knew him, including the residents of Hudson's Club Wildwood community.
