

Christon, Mary (Holovka), 98, peacefully passed away March 21, 2015. Mary was born in Windber, PA to Michael and Anna (Danko) Holovka. One of nine children, preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Frazer, Sue (Killian) Gaydos and Helen Weaver and brothers Michael Holovka, George Holovka and Patrick Holovka and survived by brothers John Rankin, Edward Holovka and wife Diana.
Mary left Windber and moved to New York City where she met and married Charles Christon (deceased 1957.) Together they had six children and is survived by 5 children, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren:
Daughter Maryann, married to Lloyd MacQueen (both deceased) of New York, survived by granddaughters Keri MacQueen and Lorri MacQueen, grandsons Llyod MacQueen and Richard MacQueen and great-grandchildren Christopher MacQueen, Robert MacQueen and Alexander MacQueen.
Daughter Tina, married to Dan (Leo) Lyons of New Jersey, parents to granddaughters Karen married to Larry Finger, Susan married to Mark Watkins, Jackie married to Gary Stein, grandson Chuck Lyons and granddaughter Christine married to Michael Dearie and great-grandchildren Jordan Schechter, Robin Ambrosi, Nicole Shechter, Halley Watkins, Maya Rose Stein, Benjamin Stein and Zachary Dearie and great-great-grandchild Lily Ambrosi
Daughter Elaine, Widow of Richard Raynor of Florida.
Daughter Theo married to Barry Fuhrman of Florida, granddaughters Terri married to Mike Duffey and Marisa married to Scot Parker.
Son Michael, married to Michelle of North Carolina.
Daughter Patricia married to Larry Turner of Pennsylvania, granddaughters Lisa married to Wayne Huffman, Kelly married to Paul Fleegle and Tina married Scott Cox, great-grandchildren Danielle Hoffman, Travis Hoffman, Leigha Hoffman, Shane Fleegle, Austin Fleegle, Allaxandria Cox, Madison Cox, Hanna Cox, and great-great-grandchildren Carson Hoffman, Izzy Fleegle, Abel Fleegle and Lilly Fleegle.
Mary and her husband Charles owned the flower shop Triangle Florist in Queens, NY for many years. Later, Mary worked for the Social Security Administration in Queens, Somerset, PA and Johnstown, PA. She retired in 1986 and moved to Port Richey, Florida.
Mary was an avid reader, cookie maker, world traveler and a longtime, faithful member of St. Anne's Byzantine Catholic Church of New Port Richey. Mary was the heart of her large family who all lovingly called her "Mom" or "Nanny."
Memorial April 7th, 5-7pm at North Meadowlawn Funeral Home, New Port Richey, Florida. Interment at Fero Cemetery, Beverly Hills, FL April 8th at noon.
