Maxine S Mohr

Maxine Shirley Hartman Mohr, 94, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in New Port Richey FL. She was born in Bourbonnais, IL to Grover A. and Mary Smith Hartman on July 23, 1930. She grew up on the family farm on Route 102 in NW Bourbonnais and graduated from Burcham School and Bradley Bourbonnais High School.

Maxine was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Company and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kankakee, IL and Faith Lutheran Church in New Port Richey, FL. She met and married Donald Mohr after moving to Florida. Maxine never had children, but treated her nieces and nephews as her own, sharing many trips and special gifts with them through the years. She enjoyed her cats, her television, sitting by the pool, and visits with family and friends.

Maxine is survived by many nieces and nephews. Her parents, her sister, Mildred C. Corlett, her brother-in-law Francis O. Corlett, her husband, a niece and several nephews preceded her in death. Cremation performed by Meadowlawn Funeral Home and, at her request, there will be no formal services.
