

Nilda Chiesa Concepcion, born on January 17, 1928, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, peacefully passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 95 in Carolina, Puerto Rico. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Nilda's vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Nilda had a successful career as an Executive Secretary, dedicating many years of her life to General Men's Wear, which later merged with FW Woolworth Corporate in NYC. She continued her professional journey with the ILGWU Union in Puerto Rico until her well-deserved retirement.
Outside of her work, Nilda had a passion for Dancing! A good song would get her moving all the time. She also enjoyed Copash. She dedicated her time to learning and mastering the craft. Additionally, she was renowned for her culinary skills and took great joy in cooking for her family and friends. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and delicious food, making it a cherished gathering place for her loved ones.
Nilda Chiesa Concepcion is survived by her loving partner of 34 years, Pedro Vazquez, and Nilda's three children, Norma Sosa Chapman (David Chapman), Ricardo Sosa, and Debra F. Sosa Montellese (Mark Montellese). She also leaves behind four adored great-grandchildren, Bella, Agrayo, Sebastian, and Elizabeth. Nilda is survived by her dear sisters, Norma Chiesa Antiou, Violet Chiesa, and Gladys Chiesa, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nilda's life was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Christopher Melendez. His memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him.
A ceremony to honor and celebrate Nilda's remarkable life will be held at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens in New Port Richey, FL, on January 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens located in New Port Richey, FL.
Nilda Chiesa Concepcion will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, kind heart, and the lasting impact she made on the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and cherished memories. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
