Peter Fletcher Ewing, age 85, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2022, in New Port Richey, FL, where he lived for more than 50 years.
Peter was born in June, 1936, in Manhattan, NY, NY and grew up in Yonkers, NY.

He married Virginia Eppler in August of 1960 in Cranford, NJ, where their daughter and son were later born.
A friendly, loving and outgoing man, Peter made friends everywhere he went. He worked in an array of fields, including the creation from the ground up of River Bend Campground in Connecticut, and real estate sales and H&R Block tax preparation in Florida. His favorite job was transporting the elderly for Pasco County Public Transportation. His sunny and kind personality was popular with the elderly people who he took shopping, to medical appointments and more.
Peter had many loves, including geography and maps, trains, playing the piano, Rays and Yankees baseball, Bucs football, chocolate covered cherries and cherry pie.
He loved travel throughout his life, from camping at the Pine Island camp in Maine to working at the Homestake gold mine in South Dakota in his youth, and visiting family in New England and New York throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, sister, Irene, son, Walter, daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Richard, granddaughters, Katherine, Margaret and Samantha, and an infant great-granddaughter, Summer. We will hold him in our hearts forever, as a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
