She was born to the late Joseph Leo & Margaret (McDonald ) McDevitt on July 29, 1920 in Boston MA. Where she lived for 95 years. She was one of three children. She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph and Edward. Rita Marion (McDevitt) Blair-Grant-Rosato, Age 100 of New Port Richey, FL Passed away peacefully on December 5, 2020.
After she graduated from High School she married the late Albert F. Blair in 1941. Together they had five children; Caroline (and late husband Patrick) Roberson of Wareham, MA; Alberta McGurl-Healy of Derry, NH; Virginia Hannick-Bentley of New Port Richey, FL (and husband Ken); the late Ronald Blair (and his wife Jeanne) of East Bridgewater, MA and Rita (and the late Paul) Knox (and life partner Dennis LaFrenier) of New Port Richey, FL . She also had a Step son James Rosato and his late wife Cheryl of Middleton, MA.
After Albert’s sudden death in 1958, Rita raised her five children on her own during very difficult times. She was employed by George Dean Book Binding Co. until she retired. She was a member of the Bookbinding Union. Rita married Jack Grant in 1960 who also predeceased her. She then married Guy Rosato in 1977 who predeceased her in 1989. Rita leaves behind 16 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, and 13 Great-Great Grandchildren. Rita had a long, beautiful life. She made many people smile with her infectious laughter and her humorous antics. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
