He was kind, thoughtful, funny and always straight up with you and gave excellent advise if needed. Tom will be missed by many.  We are thankful  he was our friend.  ❤️

A tremendous loss, my prayers and thoughts are with you all daily! He was a husband, Father,  brother, son and friend to many, may you all stop and smile when you think of him, he is in a better place, make him proud!

Even though we haven't been in touch for a long time, you were thought of often. My prayers and condolences are with you. I will always remember with fondness the summers spent with Tom at Howard Beach.


He looked after me in the gym, he kept me interested in  taking care of my body, he used to say come on old man I'll  miss my friend 

I just found out about Tom's passing. I was devastated. I fist met Tom about 25 years ago or so at the YMCA and used to talk to him almost every morning at premier.  He was definitely a fantastic role model and he was also brutally honest!  I only met Roxane and Zach once or twice at the Gym. But He and his training  partner Mike were always fixtures at the gym. He was very inspiring since he was such a physical specimen. He showed there was no excuse to not do your best, not even advancing years. I was kidding once and I told someone that He was my brother. He said but from another mother and father. I am still wrapping my mind around his loss. It is surreal that I won' t see him at premier. He will be missed 

Tommy was one of those guys who always put a smile on your face.  He put you at ease, you wanted to be in his company.  Although we did not spend years together, the time we shared created the fondest of memories.  To Roxanne, Zach , Jake and the entire McDevitt family, our deepest sympathies.  Remembering the times we had together will always make us smile.

     I am so sorry for your tremendous loss! I worked with Tom for 4 years and always admired him. He was a witty, talented , original and VERY honest man who had a lot of wisdom to impart. He was a natural with adolescent clients and he taught me many valuable and effective skills, lessons and approaches that I continue to rely on years later and will forever attribute to Tom.  In a time when the departure from family values and serving others is so evident, Tom stood out as a man who ,unapologetically ,believed in and lived by those values. Tom was truly dynamic and had so many distinct and impressive qualities but what I found most admirable was the dedication and loyalty that he had for his family. The love he had for all of you was palpable and authentic and the way in which he spoke of each of you truly illustrated the depth of his respect, love and appreciation for the family that he felt blessed to be a part  of.  There is nothing anyone can say or do that will alleviate your sorrow, but, I do hope that you find some comfort knowing that you all made a great and special man so happy and complete. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

I knew Tommy as a teenager, growing up in Howard Beach.  He was always fun to be around and liked by all who knew him. My condolences to his family at this heartbreaking time.
