Wallace “Alton” Lee, 82, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. Born on June 12, 1943, he devoted his life to his family, his community, and the many passions that brought him joy.
Alton is survived by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Sue Lee, and by his brother, Bruce Lee, and spouse Stephanie and Daughter Cara of Kennesaw, Georgia.
He leaves behind his children:

• Angela Rene Painter & spouse Charlie, Crawfordville, FL
• John David Lee, New Port Richey, FL
• Robert Alton Lee & spouse Brenda, Pittsburgh, KS
He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren—Cory Lee, Nicholas Morse, Savannah Lee, Adorina Lee, Michael Thieryung, Espn Thieryung, Danger Painter, Mavia Lee, Hannah Lee, and Kaleb Lee—and great-grandfather to his spunky great-granddaughter, Amara Lee.
Alton honorably served in the United States Army before spending his early adult life raising his family in Marietta, Georgia. In 1985, he moved with his family to New Port Richey, where he became an enthusiastic and knowledgeable coin collector, known for spending hours sharing stories and explaining the fine details of every coin. He also enjoyed working alongside his wife at their flea-market booth, where they met countless friends over the years.
A major part of Alton’s life was spent at the West Pasco softball fields. Whether coaching his daughters, umpiring with his son, or cheering from the sidelines, he was a constant and dedicated presence. His commitment, encouragement, and steady support made an impact on generations of young athletes.
Alton had a wonderful sense of humor, always knowing how to make those around him laugh. His quick wit, playful teasing, and ability to find joy in the small moments brought light into every room he entered.
He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Turner Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery, located at 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609, on December 7, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Following this, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the same day.
A Graveside Committal Service with Military Honors will be conducted at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, located at 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652, on December 8, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
