Arnold H. Dennis, 95, of Evansville passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was born March 26, 1926 in Evansville to the late Ernest and Ella (Kirsch) Dennis.
He was a graduate of Millersburg High School. He served in the US Navy during World War II aboard the USS Ostara, an Artemis-class attack cargo ship assigned to the Pacific.
Arnold worked in the truck shop for Alcoa and retired in 1990 after 24 years. He was an outgoing person and particularly loved to tell stories about the farm work he did in his early years.
Arnold wed Delores Lee Young on September 1, 1946, who proceeded him in death after 63 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Donald, Hubert and Jerry.
He is survived by his sister, Barbara Agee and children, Jimmy and Sandra. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Craig, Rachel, Jen, Ryan and Scott, and two great-grandsons, Cody and Blake.
