Connie Marion Simmons

She was a graduate of Bosse High School and Murray State University, later furthering her education at the University of Evansville where she earned both a Master of Education and a nursing degree. Her professional life was caring for others as a registered nurse at Community Methodist Hospital, from which she eventually retired. Outside of her career, she found joy in music and had a deep love for animals.

Connie is survived by her sister, Billie Hessler of Evansville; brother, Edward Simmons (Susan) of Corydon, KY; nephews, Greg Hessler (Kelley) of Jasper, Brian Hessler (Lorie) of Evansville and Jason Hessler (Marjorie) of Westfield, IN; cousin, Shannon Lamb; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her fiancé, Billy House.

The Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, with final resting place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, IN. Family and friends may visit Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
