Ellen Myra Hall

Ellen Myra (Henderson) Hall of Newburgh, Indiana passed away on February 27, 2025, after a bravely fought battle with cancer. Born July 9, 1959, to the late Davis and Deloris (Kraig) Henderson in Havana, ND. Ellen dedicated much of her life serving her community as a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service. She learned to have a strong work ethic from her early years growing up on a farm, and was also known for her kind heart, making friends with many of the people on her regular routes.

Ellen was a graduate of Sargent Central High School and furthered her education at North Dakota State University, where she studied veterinary technology. Her passions included gardening, caring for horses, and spending cherished moments with her grandchildren. Ellen also found joy in hunting and fishing, activities she often enjoyed with her family in North Dakota.

Ellen was the beloved mother of Jacob (Heather) Hall and Jerrit (Jessica) Hall. She was a loving sister to Kathy (Allen) Kupitz, Amy (Rick) Gross, and Janet Mahto. She was a treasured grandmother to Jaxon, Cora, and Nolan. Her nieces and nephews Gero, Andrea, Anthony, Jon, and Andi will also hold her memory dear. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Jeff Hall, her parents, Davis and Deloris Henderson, sister, Janet Mahto, and her in-laws, Bill and Lily Hall.

Visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Home in Newburgh on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at the same location, Saturday March 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.

Ellen’s life was marked by her loving nature and her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
