Obituary of Elmer Raymond Farley
Elmer Farley, 73, of Chandler, IN, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born February 9, 1943, in Chandler, IN, to the late Raymond and Reva Farley. He was a devout Christian and United States Marine. Elmer was a people person. He had the ability to genuinely make everyone feel special and is deeply loved by all who knew him. He was a devoted husband who enjoyed spending time with his wife. A family man, Elmer never hesitated to support their endeavors, encourage success, acknowledge achievements, and attend all activities. In summary, Elmer made a positive influence in countless lives. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Norma Franz and Lila Christian. He is survived by his wife of over 25 years, Janice Farley; sons, Patrick Farley (Craig Benoit), Chris Farley (Tracy), Trae Zipperer (Rhoda); daughters, Lesley Raub (Jason), Robyn Reed (Chris), grandchildren, Seth, Kiersten, Tristan (Heather), Rachel, Noah (Robyn), August, Jack, Kolby, Mattie; and great-grandchild, Kipper. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2016, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. Dan Gross with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may visit 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Evansville Rescue Mission or Samaritan’s Purse.
