Evelyn J. Wolfinger Silke

Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh. She was born March 1, 1925, in Evansville.

She was a 1943 graduate of Elberfeld High School. She was a lifetime member of New Jerusalem United Methodist Church in Elberfeld. Evelyn was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a past member of Oak Meadow Country Club and Bear’s Paw Country Club in Naples,

FL.

Evelyne was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James L. Silke in 2006.

She is survived by her sons, Randy Silke and wife, Patti, and Gregg Silke and wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Scott Silke and wife, Missy, Deena Rinehart and husband, Ross, Alison Spindler and husband, Jon, Kyle Silke and Taylor Silke; great grandchildren, Blake, Grant and Tyler Rinehart, Jake Spindler, and Macie McNail; sisters, Pauline Strunk and Elene Schultz.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, with burial in Northview Cemetery in Elberfeld. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
