

Helen worked for 32 years for Dr. William Hart DDS as an assistant in his dental office. She retired in 1994. She spent many years after that assisting her husband in his hearing aid business. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh from her childhood and volunteered for countless years in many different capacities.
A hard-working dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she was a tireless and enthusiastic supporter of all her family’s extra-curricular activities and sports. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, fishing, and playing cards with her card club that met monthly for 50 years.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Steven) Bohleber of Evansville; son, Steven (Cindy) Simpson of Newburgh; daughter, Theresa Doyle of Evansville; grandchildren, Kristina Groves, Vanessa (Brad) Stanczak, Megan (Evan) Brosmer, Adam (Mackenzie) Blankenberger and Kendra (Adam) Guth; and great-grandchildren, Daniel Groves and Addison Blankenberger along with baby Brosmer due in September. She was known as Mawmaw to Megan, Adam, and Kendra, as well as countless “grandchildren” on sports teams all over Evansville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Donald, her parents, and 3 siblings.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 625 Frame Rd, Newburgh, IN with a Funeral Mass following at 12:00 p.m.
Entombment will be at St. John the Baptist Mausoleum.
