James H. Garrison

James H. Garrison, 70, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at his home. He was born February 26, 1943, in Evansville, IN. He graduated from North High School in 1961. He started working at H.A. Grant Plumbing in 1964, and served as President since 1982. Jim was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church since 1968. He was a member of Warrick Weekend Wanderer’s camping club. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Garrison. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Billy June Garrison of Newburgh; daughter, Jamie Smith (Randy), also of Newburgh; sons, James Garrison, Jr. (Lisa); John Garrison (Amber), both of Chandler, Jason Garrison (Christine) of Evansville; sisters, Lessie Harp, Mable Talent, Leona Frankenburger, Janice Robertson, all of Evansville; brother, Leroy Garrison of Evansville; grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Douglas, Amy, all of Chandler, Rebekah, and Isabella Garrison of Evansville, and Alex Smith of Newburgh; and 2 great-grandchildren of Chandler. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ahmad and the staff at Oncology Associates for their care of Jim. Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, with private burial at St. John’s Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday, 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess Hospice or Warrick Humane Society.
