John R. Gray

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh. John retired from Alcoa after 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, landscaping and entertaining his family and friends. He volunteered at the Newburgh Area Food Pantry.

John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda (Nurrenbern) Gray; daughters, Andrea Kneubuhler (Jason) of Newburgh, Stephanie Gutzweiler (Steve) of Brownsburg, IN; grandchildren, Macallister, Alexandria, Grayson, and Maria Gutzweiler, Jake and Paige Kneubuhler; sister, Joan Gooch of Carmel, IN; brother, James Gray of Kalamazoo, MI; mother-in-law, Carolyn Nurrenbern of Evansville; several nieces and nephews; many cousins; 2 aunts and 1 uncle.

The family would like to thank all the doctors at OHA and Kindred Hospice for the wonderful care they gave John.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Friday, November 18, 2016, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church officiated by Rev. Bernie Etienne with burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit 3-8 pm on Thursday at Alexander Newburgh Chapel.
