

She was born to the late Florence Jane (Pierce) and Noble E. Camp on October 19, 1938, in Chandler, Indiana. Jo graduated from Bosse High School (1956) in Evansville and received a degree from Lockyear Business College. She was a legal assistant and retired from the law firm of Barber & Shoulders after 21 years.
Jo enjoyed sewing and crafts. She was especially talented and loved writing short stories for her grandchildren. Known for her kindness, humor, and passion for her family and friends, she will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. Jo’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Lane) Johnson, and Linda Williams; grandchildren, Leslie (Gordon) Brown, Tony (Jenna) Wolf, Natalie (Josey) Lewis, Tyler (Madeline) Pike, and Haeli Wolf (Jericho Mehrhoff), and great grandchildren, Wyatt Lewis, Colt Lewis, Isabelle Brown, Leo Brown, Jameson Pike, Parker Pike, Sophia Wolf, and Brooks Pike, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard “Dick,” her daughters, Karen Pike and Karol Jean Jackson, her son-in-law, Rodney Williams, parents, and brothers.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh, Indiana.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home in Newburgh, Indiana. Services will be held on March 4, 2024 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Newburgh with burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery, also in Newburgh. The family welcomes friends to visit at the church prior to the Mass from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
