Lawrence A. Rasche

Larry was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.

In 1979 Larry joined the Franklin Life Insurance Company where he worked two years dual-career prior to going full time in 1981. Larry’s passion for teaching led him to a career of helping people in the financial services/insurance industry. During Larry’s tenure at Franklin Life he led the company in sales several times including qualifying for the company’s prestigious “Legion of Honor,” a record 12 times.

Larry enjoyed spending every moment he could with his eight grandchildren. Spending time outdoors and raising cattle were enjoyable for him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Catherine (Gogel) Rasche.

Larry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon (Jochim) Rasche; two sons, Benjamin (Alicia) and Nick (Katie); two daughters, Krista (Michael) Hosford of Bastrop, TX, Kara (Chris) Edwards; eight grandchildren, Cadence, Alexandria and Kingston Rasche, William and Maxwell Rasche, Kennedy and London Hosford, and Greyson Edwards; brothers, Mike (Lee Ann), Fred (Eileen), Ken (Sandra), Joe (Nancy); sisters Margaret LeClaire, Janice (Donald) Bollinger, Connie (Jeff) House, Barbara (Ray) Chenoweth; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 725 Frame Road in Newburgh, officiated by Fr. Attila Frohlich, with burial at St. John Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday at Alexander Newburgh Chapel from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, with a Eulogy Service at 7:00 PM.
