Linda Gayle Riecken

Linda Gayle Riecken, 78, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019. She was born on July 6, 1941 in Evansville, Indiana to the late James and Alta (Varner) Krietzer. She graduated from Central High School, where she was a member of the cheerleading squad. Linda enjoyed playing golf and being outside, working in her yard. She was a member of American Legion Kapperman Post 44. Linda was an excellent cook and especially enjoyed entertaining and preparing meals for the holidays. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; and brother, Connie Krietzer. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Henry (Cherie Wood) of Evansville; son, Shane Henry (Georgette) of Newburgh; grandchildren, James Henry, Mary Jane Henry and Hayden Wood; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Rainer Roberts; brother, Jerry Krietzer; sisters, Merry Whetsel and Vicki Smith, all of Evansville; nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Katie. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. Art Christmas.
